Tibialis Posterior
O: posterior surface of the tibia, fibula and interosseous membrane
I: Navicular, cuneiforms and metatarsals 2,3,4,5
Ankle - concentric agonist for plantarflexion
Subtalar and Transverse tarsal - inversion
Flexor Digitorum Longus
O: posterior tibia
I: distal phalanx of each of the 4 lesser toes
Ankle - plantarflexion
Subtalar and Transverse tarsal - inversion
Flexor Hallucis Longus
O: posterior fibula
I: distal phalanx of great toe
Ankle - plantarflexion
Subtalar and transverse tarsal - inversion/big toe flexion
Tibialis Anterior
O: upper 2/3 of lateral tibia
I: Medial cuneiform and 1st metatarsal
Ankle - dorsiflexion
Subtalar and Transverse tarsal - inversion
Extensor Hallucis Longus
O: middle 2/3 of anteromedial fibula
I: distal phalanx of great toe
Ankle - dorsiflexion
Extensor Digitorum Longus
O: lateral condyle of tibia and anterior proximal 2/3 of fibula
I: distal phalanx of the 4 lesser toes
Ankle - dorsiflexion, eversion, toe extension
Peroneus Longus
O: proximal 1/2 of lateral tibia
I: 1st metatarsal and medial cuneiform
Ankle - eversion and plantarflexion
Peroneus Brevis
O: distal 1/2 lateral fibula
I: base of 5th metatarsal
Ankle - eversion and dorsiflexion
Peroneus Tertius
