cancerous tumors of the flesh (connective tissue); muscle, bones, cartilage and fibrous tissue and fat

malignant (cancerous) tumour of cells in the bone marrow
Carcin/o or sarc/o
anything combined with these roots is a malignant (cancerous) tumour. If it ends in -oma but these roots aren’t present then the tumour is benign (non-cancerous); except for some special cases

condition, abnormal condition BUT when used with blood cell words, means a slight increase in number of cells

Leukocytosis: slight increase in normal WBCs; bodies response to bacterial infection
Leukemia: malignant condition marked by dramatic increase in cancerous WBCs
