External factors relate mainly to the physical setting.
Ensuring privacy, preventing interactions, creating a conducive environment, documenting responses
Interview has three phases. What are they?
Introduction, a working face, and a closing

What is the working phase ?
The data gathering phase.
Verbal skills for this phase include your questions to the patient and your responses to what the patient has said
What are the categories of information contained in a health history?
Biographical data, reason for seeking care, current health or history of current illness, past health history, family health history
