A

What conditions must be met for you to implement Modified Working (assuming you have the authority)?

A

Direct Communication is available between with any other signaller concerned, and you have reached a clear understanding with them of what is to happen.

You have made sure single-line section is clear.

The responsible person (as shown in the SBSI) has personally given you and other signallers concerned, the authority to use Modified Working for that train.

A

Name of the responsible person.
Time that authority was given for that train.

What is happening

Dictate or give them a completed RT3177 form

Tell the driver to stop at the end of the single-line section , if necessary.

Pass the signal protecting the entrance to the single-line section at danger
