A

What is a ‘Blended Mode’?

A

It is features of written and spoken modes together. Eg. A political speech may be planned despite the mode in speech signifying that speech will be spontaneous or short.

What is included in the mode of writing?

A

The writing is objective.
It is written as a monologue.
It is usually solidified in history.
It is planned.
It is highly structured.
It is grammatically complex.
It is concerned with the past and/or the future.
It is formal.
It is very clear for audiences without given context to the situation (decontextualized).

A

It is interpersonal - the audience is interactive, they can talk as well.
It is a dialogue.
It is ephemeral - short time consumed when talking.
It is spontaneous - a reaction of an event.
It is loosely structured.
It is grammatically simple.
It is concerned with the present.
Informal.
It is contextualised - people who aren’t given context to the situation will not understand.
