Describe EGPWS pop up mode
Pop Up Mode is activated when an alert occurs but EGPWS is not displayed on MFD
What does Low Altitude mode do? How is it selected?
It will desensitize the system for low altitude work like SAR. It is selected in Overlay - TER - CTL - Low Alt
When would a pilot hear the audio alert “Caution, Obstacles”?
What about “Warning Obstacle”?
“Caution Obstacle” is heard when 30 seconds from impact
“Warning Obstacle” is heard when 20 secs from impact
Describe the auto range and cell expansion mode of the EGPWS.
When an alert occurs, the range is reset to 5nm and the alert area becomes enlarged to get the pilots attention
What would areas of magenta indicate on an EGPWS display?
Areas of unknown terrain display
What action is required for a TCAS level 1 system installed in the S92A?
Conduct a visual search for traffic and maintain visual contact. Take no evasive action based on a TA mode
