No, there is no requirement for the optimised send time to be the same across all Business Units in MC.
Can you import subscribers into the All Subscribers List?
Yes, you can prepare a .csv file with new subscribers and import the file directly into the All Subscribers List.
Should you delete unsubscribed subscribers from the All Subscribers list?
No, deleting them might result in importing them again with the next email send. By leaving unsubscribed subscribers on the All Subscribers List, honouring unsubscribe requests will be easier to manage.
Should you remove email addresses that bounce / no longer exist from the All Subscribers List?
Yes, subscribers with non-existing email addresses can be deleted. If subscribers’ new email addresses cannot be determined, then it is best to remove them to avoid receiving bounces from these addresses. A high bounce rate is bad for Sender Reputation.
Does subscriber engagement affect Sender Reputation?
Yes, high engagement rates are good for Sender Reputation. Steadily improving email engagement is recommended.
Does the length of the subject line and/or preheader affect email loading time?
No.
How can you personalise the ‘From Email Address’ for an email send?
From Email Addresses support the use of both personalisation strings and AMPscript.
Is an email with a coupon code commercial or transactional?
A coupon code within an email is an evident indicator that this email is commercial and should no be handled like a transactional email
How do Publication Lists works with sends?
With Publication List, MC can manage the subscriber status for different branches. Cross-checking the assigned Publication List is standard behaviour of MC. This behaviour is always executed even if the subscriber status is store on a DE and queried before the send.
Can subscribers unsubscribe by responding to an email?
MC Reply Mail Management (RMM) can be set up to automatically handle any unsubscribes which come in as a response to an email sent by MC. These email responses need to include one of the keywords which are selected in the setup of RMM.
How could you assigned a new dedicated IP address to specific email sends?
The dedicated IP address for an email send is defined in the Delivery Profile. The admin could either edit an existing or create a new Delivery Profile and assign the new IP address. If necessary, this new Delivery Profile can also be added to a new or existing Send Classification.
Can you assign an IP address directly to an email send?
No, instead assign a Delivery Profile to the send which contains the IP address.
Is it best practise to manually refresh a Data Filter each day in Email Studio?
No, refreshing Data Filter manually every day is not the most efficient solution, and misses the automation opportunity provided by MC.
Can you use a Data Filter as an Activity in Automation Studio?
No, Data Filter is not an activity available in Automation Studio. Data Filters are configured in Email Studio.
What data type is recommended for use as a Subscriber Key in MC?
Text (Email address and Number data types are not recommended)
