A

What is the aetiology of Metatarsus adductus

A

-Abnormal uterine position
Tight or malinsertions of:
-abductor hallucis
-tibialis anterior
-tibialis posterior
-contracted joint capsule and lig of lisfranc
-tight tib ant secondary to weak peroneals

A
Postural MA
-hallux adduction, during simulated weight bearing 
Simple MA
-trasnverse plane deformity at lisfranc 
Complex MA
-adduction and varus 
Skewfoot
-forefoot adduction and varus with rearfoot eversion and abduction at he midtarsal and subtalar joint
