A
- CLASS D FIRES
- BUT, SPECIFICALLY DEVELOPED FOR LITHIUM FIRES(BATTERIES)
- MAGNESIUM
- SUPERIOR on very hot burning metal fire such as lithium
- common in batteries
label (not yellow decal like Met L-x)

Met L-x/Lithx features..
A
- nozzle, high velocity , swivels 360 degrees
- pressure
- indicator pops to indicate that the CO2 cartridge has been punctured
- OPTIMUM DISTANCE IS 10 FEET FROM METAL
- discharge time is 30 SECONDS/ covers 3 square feet at 1 inch thickness , depending on thickness of material (LITH-X does not cling )
- temp 40 F to 120F
- extinguisher maintained upright (will not function properly if held horizontal or inverted)
- nozzle held by members strong hand
- direct nozzle at base of burning material
- open nozzle fully
- once fire is controlled, metal can be covered completely
- OVERHAUL DELAYED UNTIL FUEL COOLED, MAY TAKE UPT TO 30 MINUTES
