• depress the pressure relief valve until working piston is totally retracted
• if piston does not retract by itself, apply STEADY PRESSURE…as soon as possible, clean and lubricate piston , so it will retract on its own

Use full PPE and eye shields down, when operating Hydra Ram…

Ram does NOT use hydraulic fluid, it uses PROPYLENE GLYCOL, which will not cause injury to your skin

Never strike Ram to gain purchase
-if 4 inch piston is not enough, retract and place axe head or other spacer to provide additional distance

-inspect Hydra Ram after each use/keep in storage case

Test for leaks- fully extend piston, should NOT move, except for depressing relief valve

Clean with soap and water and lubricate (3 in 1 oil)–lubricate under operating arm and working end of piston

-do not store on floor near heating vents , heat can DRY out piston and seals

DO NOT TAKE RAM APART, NO REPLENISHMENT OF FLUIDS
