- Extremes of Reproductive Age.
- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
- Physiological Stress.
- Medications.
- Hormonal Imbalances.
- STIs.
- Endometrial Hyperplasia & Cancer, Cervical Cancer.
- Fibroids.
- Pregnancy.

Management of Idiopathic Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (4).
A
- Contraception (COCP) if investigations rule out pathology.
- IUS - reduces bleeding.
- Progestogens - induce amenorrhoea (but not to be relied on long term.
- Norethisterone - take on day 5-26 to prevent bleeding.
