Implicit memory
A type of long term memory that consists of our Procedural memory (skills and conditioned responses.)
Explicit Memory
A type of long term memory that consists of declarative memories(facts and or events).
memories that require conscious recall
Episodic Memory
A type of declarative memory dealing with events and experiences.
Semantic Memory
A type of declarative memory dealing with facts and concepts
Priming
It is a retrieval cue, where exposure to one stimulus influences a response to a subsequent stimulus
Ex: you read a book all about rabbits and then 3 hours later someone ask you to spell “hair” and you subconsciously spell “hare”
Context
A retrieval cue, when learned and tested in the same place you get higher score or study in multiple places to help you test better.
State
Retrieval cue, when you learn something while drunk you will remember when you’re drunk again.
When sad you think about other sad things or when happy or any other emotion.
