What is a membership system?
A system that records details about a member.
What are the disadvantages of a membership system?
The initial cost to set it up; purchase, training, installation and staff time. Staff don’t like the ideal of it, systems can crash, online systems/ sales can cause fraud, not everyone has access to the internet.
What are the advantages of a membership system?
The software can be made specific to the organisation, internal members communication can be improved, ID card protection and tracking, offers can be given to members, clubs can provide events online to customers, smart card session tickets can be provided, more interesting way to present information, software can do the transactions quicker, respond to changes in the market quicker, lapsed clients can still be contacted, fast handle of lots of information can provide a seating chart.
