Who is responsible for health and safety?
Health and safety is the responsibility of the employer and the employee.
How must equipment be stored?
It must be stored safely away in the correct place.
To reduce the risk of any accidents how and why should signs be displayed?
They should clearly be displayed, so that they can warn or give instructions to people so they are safer such as a wet floor sign.
How should staff be trained so people are safer?
Staff should be trained in health and safety such as what to do in a fire drill and basic first aid training if they aren’t a first aider or lifeguard.
Should all accidents even near misses be recorded?
Yes they should be recorded and action should be taken to remedy the situation.
Why must regular risk assessments must be done?
So that staff customers and all people onsite are safe and that situations likelihood of happening is decreased.
Should the business have a safety plan?
Yes they should have a safety plan.A safety plan is a personalized, practical plan that can help you avoid dangerous situations and know the best way to react when you’re in danger.
Should all organisations have a trained safety officer?
All organisations must have a trained safety officer.
Before an emergency occurs organisations can do things to help keep people safe what are they?
They can have emergency procedures that are agreed and practised
