objective
- quantifiable and impartial
- no argument
(some mvmt assessments can be objective)

- based on human judgement and opinion

A

fixed length (100mm)
- can measure score with a ruler
two extremes
put a mark in between where they think they fall

A

not just two extremes
uses multiple anchors along the whole scale (ex: counting by 10s)
can also use visuals here

what is the adjectival scale

A

descriptions along the continuum
can be discrete or continuous (can make it so they fall anywhere on the scale or at specific points - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc)

unipolar scale
- scale starts from one extreme of one factor and goes to the other extreme end

A

similar to adjectival scale
adjectives are related to the question
has a middle position (neutral)

bipolar scale
- neutral position that indicates a spilt (good on one end and bad on the other)
