What is Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?
Equipment used to protect people from hazardous materials

What is asbestos?
A hazardous material which if inhaled can cause asbestosis, a form of cancer

What can you tell me about Surveying safely?

- It introduces the safe person concept for Members

What can you tell me about the safe person concept?
RICS Members must assume responsibility for their own safety, safety of colleagues and safety of others in the workplace
What are some of the obligations that Surveying safely requires from Regulated Firms?
- Regulated Firms must provide a safe working environment, equipment and systems and training to ensure staff are competent.
- Regulated Firms must carry out risk assessments in relation to the sites that Surveyors may visit.
What is a risk assessment?
This is determining how harm may be caused and what precautions can be taken to minimise the risk of harm being realised.
