M. Fitness Testing .Aerobic Endurance Flashcards
What do the results of the Multi Stage fitness test measure?
The performers VO2 max in ml/kg/ min
Explain the multi stage fitness test
It measures aerobic endurance
There are 2 lines 20 m apart
Timed bleeps are played
The performer runs from one line to the next between the bleeps, this is one shuttle.
The foot must be on or over the line before the next bleep.
There are different levels and the bleeps get closer together with each level so the performer has to run faster
The test is over when the performer does not make it to the line on 3 bleeps in a row.
The level and number of shuttles is the final score
How would you make sure that the test is” Reliable”
The weather can affect the result, it can make it less reliable.
Explain how to make sure this test is “ valid”
If the performer stops before they are too tired to carry on , the results are invalid
If the distance of 20 m is incorrectly measured
