What type of goals would a basket player have?

A

Goal - to improve at shooting baskets by improving his speed and power to sprint for the basket and jump high to out the ball in the basket. He will need to do Plyometrics and hollow sprints as his training methods to improve this.

A

F - train more often in the week/ every day
I - make sure the intensity remains moderate/ increase it
T- make sure that each session is at least 30 minutes long/ increase it
T - continuous training which is appropriate of an endurance athlete.

That are the 5 additional principles of training?

A

Variation- keep it interesting by using a different route
Adaption - body gets fitter during the recovery periods
Rest and recovery - rest must happen between sessions for adaption to occur .
Reversibility - fitness decreases if training is not hard enough/ stops
Progressive overload - training has to be hard enough to make to body adapt and become fitter. This means intensity has to be regularly increased.
