LU-1 CA
CA: In the space medial to the greater trochanter of the humerus (when standing), in the superficial pectoral muscle at the level of the 1st intercostal space
*Palpate the acromion and move distal to palpate the greater trochanter
Fx: Font-Mu (alarm) point for lung, immune regulation, lung heat, cough dyspnea
LU-1 Eq
Eq: Depression in the middle of the pectoralis descendens muscle, 1.5cun lateral to the pectosal sulcus (in the 1st intercostal space)
2’’
Fx: Alarm point for lung. Cough, asthma, heaves, shoulder pain, chest pain.
LU-5 CA
CA: On the medial side of the cubital crease, just lateral to the tendon of the biceps brachii m. with the elbow flexed
Fx: He-Sea point (water), water point (sedate), lung heat, cough, asthma
LU-5 Eq
Eq: In the depression on the craniomedial aspect of the radius just lateral to the tendon of insertion of the biceps branchii
Lateral to biceps tendon, but on medial aspect of limb
**As high as possible in the cubital crease
2’’
*SAME AS DOG
Fx: He-Sea point (water), lung excess heat, acute cough, dyspnea, coarse voice, high fever, chest pain, sore throat, pain in shoulder and elbow
LU-6 Eq
Eq: 5 cun (a little more than 1/4 of limb) dital to LU-5, just caudal to the extensor carpi radialis muscle on the medial aspect of limb
Fx: Xi-cleft point for lung, acute upper airway inflammation, pharyngitis, pain in shoulder and elbow
LU-7 CA
CA: Just proximal to the craniomedial aspect of the styloid process of the radius. 1.5 cun proximal to the radiocarpal joint
Fx: Luo-connecting point to LI (LI-6), confluent point for CV channel, *Mater point for head and neck
LU-7 Eq
Eq: On the cradiomedial edge of the radius just caudal to the extensor carpi radialis tendon, 1.5 cun proximal to the radiocarpal joint at the level of the distal border of the chestnut
*Very important point
Fx: *Master point for head and neck. Luo-connecting point, confluent point with CV, cervical stiffness and pain, facial paralysis, cough, heaves
LU-9 CA
CA: On the medial aspect of the radiocarpal joint, just cranial to the radial artery, at the level of HT-7
(Just below the styloid process)
* This point is needled from the dorsal aspect of the limb
Fx: Shu-stream (earth) point [3rd level], mother point for deficency, Yuan (source) point. *Influential point for blood vessels. Lung deficiency, cough, asthma, dyspnea
LU-9 Eq
Eq: On the medial aspect of the carpus at the level of the articulation between the radius and the radial carpal bone
*Below the big medial bump of carpus, in front the of cephalic v.
Fx: Shu-stream point (earth), Yuan primary point, influential point for pulse and vessels. Chronic cough/asthma, heaves, weak voice, pain in carpal joints
LU-10 Eq
Eq: On the medial side of the forelimb, at the level of the mid canon bone between the suspensory ligament and the DDFT
*Opposite to HT-8
Fx: Ying-spring (fire), lung heat, sore throat, cough, tendinitis, pain in carpal joints
LU-11 Eq
Eq: Palmaromedial aspect of the front hoof, 0.5cun proximal to the coronary band, just dorsal to the medical collateral cartilage
1’’ (thumb)
Fx: *Jing-well point (wood), asthma, bleeder, cough, allergy, nasal discharge, lung problems, fatigue, sole bruising, laminitis
