*ant end of iliac crest called as anterior superior iliac spine
post end called post superior iliac spine
it may be divided into 2 parts
a)ventral seg -2/3rd of iliac crest it has outerlip, innerlip.. outerlip is 5cm behind ASIS
b)dorsal seg - post 1/3rd

lower end – fused with pubis

b)post border – from PSIS to post border of ischium having PIIS and sciatic notch
c) medial border – iliac crest to iliopubic eminence ..in inner part separate iliac fossa and sacropelvic surface
