Decidua basalis - Part of the decidua where placenta is to be formed.
• Decidua capsularis - It separates the embryo from the uterine lumen
• Decidua parietalis - It is the part lining the rest of the uterine cavity.
The placenta is formed by two sources,
Fetal/component - Chorion frondosum
Maternal component - Deciduo basalis
