A: plantarflex the ankle
O: soleal line, proximal, posterior surface of tibia and posterior aspect of head of fibula
I: calcaneus via calcaneal tendon

Plantaris
A: weak plantarflexion of ankle and weak flexion of knee
O: lateral supracondylar line of femur
I: calcaneus via calcaneal tendon
N: tibial L4,5,S1,2
Popliteus
A: flex and medially rotate the flexed knee
O: lateral condyle of the femur
I: proximal, posterior aspect of tibia
N: tibial L4,5,S1
Peroneus Longus
A: evert the foot, assist to plantarflex the ankle
O: head of fibula and proximal 2/3 of lateral fibula
I: base of first MT and medial cuneiform
N: superficial peroneal L4,5,S1
Peroneus Brevis
A: evert foot, assist to plantarflex ankle
O: distal 2/3 of lateral fibula
I: tuberosity of 5th MT
N: superficial peroneal L4,5,S1
Tibialis Anterior
A: invert foot, dorsiflex ankle
O: lateral condyle of tibia; proximal, ;ateral surface of tibia and IM
I: medial cuneiform and base of first MT
N: deep peroneal L4,5,S1
Extensor Digitorum Longus
A: extend 2-5 toes at MTP and IP, dorsiflex ankle, evert foot
O: lateral condyle of tibia; proximal anterior shaft of fibula and IM
I: middle and distal phalanges of 2-5
N: deep peroneal L4,5,S1
Extensor Hallucis Longus
A: extend 1st toe at MTP and IP, dorsiflex ankle, invert foot
O: middle, anterior surface of fibula and IM
I: distal phalanx of first toe
N: deep peroneal L4,5,S1
Fibularis Tertius
A: dorsiflexion and eversion of foot
O: distal 1/3 of anterior surface of fibula
I: dorsal base of 5th MT
N: deep fibular nerve
tibialis posterior
A: invert foot and plantarflex ankle
O: proximal, posterior shafts of tibia and fibula; and IM
I: all 5 tarsals and bases of 2-4 MT
N: tibial L4,5,S1
Flexor Digitorum Longus
A: flex 2-5 toes at MTP and IP, weak plantarflexion of ankle, invert foot
O: middle, posterior surface of tibia
I: distal phalanges of 2-5 toes
N: tibial L5,S1,2
Flexor Hallucis Longus
A; flex 1st toe at MTP and IP, weak plantarflexion of ankle, invert foot
O: middle half of posterior fibula
