1st truck inside team
Bring search rope for LRFPMDs with long hallways
Notify IC if stairs are open or closed
Notify IC and engine officer of attack stair
1st truck OV and LCC team
OV tools: Halligan, Halligan hook
LCC tools: Halligan and axe
Conduct outside survey. It’s quicker to split and survey the building from opposite directions
If fire flor can be laddered, operate from outside
If no outside ops possible, proceed to fire floor and team up with officer and assist in search of fire apartment and fire floor hallway.
At isolated buildings, the LCC will have to provide roof access. OV may initiate OV/LCC tactics until joined by chauffeur
1st truck roof
Tools: Halligan, Halligan hook, LSR and life belt Check perimeter and bulkhead Do not vent until ordered by IC Roof access priority: Adjoining building An enclosed evacuation stairway Aerial/tower ladder
2nd truck LRFPMDs
Tools: include KO curtain, may take axe or maul
Floor above the fire. May assist from here if:
- vent needed for fire apartment. Must be coordinated with 1st ladder officer
- assistance needed from above for apt layout
- LSR rescue from this location
- WCD deployment needed
LRFPMDs 2 truck OV/Chauffeur team
OV tools: Halligan, Halligan hook
LCC tools: axe and Halligan
Conduct outside survey, and operate if possible
If no outside ops possible, proceed to floor above
If LSR rescue required, this team will be in position to assist
Any vent of fire apartment requires approval from 1st truck officer
LRFPMDs 2nd roof FF
Tools: Halligan, Halligan hook, LSR and life belt
Proceed to roof and assist 1st roof FF
For top floor fire bring KO curtain in lieu of LSR and lift belt
Who accounts for all elevators in LRFPMDs?
Rescue or squad, as directed by the IC

-Interior stair of adjoining building
Isolated building with 2 sections and fire doors
-Interior stair of adjoining section, provided fire doors are closed.
Isolated building with 2 stairways
-Isolated stairs remote from each other, roof access is via enclosed evacuation stairway
Isolated buildings with one stairway
-aerial/tower ladder
- if roof cannot be accessed by ladder. The company officer must make a decision whether or not roof vent is required. Roof FF may be ordered to roof via interior stair, but apartment door must be maintained closed by company officer
