Stage upwind and away from entrances and gratings, but near enough to begin gross decon
Position near location of access/egress point of 1st ladder performing assessment
Located and connect to a working hydrant
Provide emergency gross decon for ambulatory victims
Direct persons who have been deconned to casualty collection points
Provide estimate of numbers of victims to IC
Inform 2nd ladder and IC if victims collapse on their way from subway exit to gross decon area

2nd and 3rd engines

A

Subsequent engines may operate independently, each at their own entrance, to ensure that decon facilities are available quickly
The engines should be prepared to do CFRD duties
