- Drowsiness

When is Loratadine indicated for use?
Allergic reactions (urticaria - hives, with no evidence of anaphylaxis)
When is the use of Loratadine contraindicated?
- Known severe allergic reaction
- Anaphylaxis
- Patients < 8 years
What are the precautions to consider when deciding to administer Loratadine?
- Severe hepatic impairment
- Increased risk of sedation
What is the onset time for Loratadine?
1 - 2 hours
What is the duration of Loratadine’s effect?
Approximately 24 hours
How is Loratadine administered?
Per oral

10mg, single dose only
