- Suspected Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Acute Cardiogenic Pulmonary Oedema
What are the contraindications for administering Aspirin?
- Known severe allergic reaction
- Patients < 18 years old
- Chest pain associated with psychostimulant overdose
- Bleeding or clotting disorders
- Current GI bleeding or peptic ulcers
What are the precautions for administering Aspirin?
- Any conditions that may require surgical interventions
- Possible Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
- Known pregnancy
What are the side effects of Aspirin?
- Gastric irritation
- Increased bleeding tendency
- NSAID induced bronchospasm
- Nausea and vomiting
- Allergies
What is the onset for Aspirin when taken orally?
Approximately 10 minutes
