Produces analgesic / anti-inflammation / antipyretic effect by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins

- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Dyspepsia (i.e. indigestion)
- Gastrointestinal bleeding

Moderation pain caused by tissue injury and acute inflammation
What are the contraindications for administering Ibuprofen?
- Known severe allergic reaction
- Current gastrointestinal bleeding or peptic ulcers
- Dehydration and/or hypovolaemia
- Renal impairment
- Pregnancy
- Heart failure
What are the precautions when considering the administration of Ibuprofen?
- Asthma
- Hepatic dysfunction
- History of gastrointestinal bleeding or peptic uclers
