what changes were brought into the NHS and why were the made?
to make structure of the NHS, public health and social care, by having a health secretary, director of NHS to make it more streamline and to have accountability so help have be held responsible for their actions.
what is meant about the idea’ no decision about me without me’?
helps make sure that all decision about someone’s care is discussed with the person and maybe family members.
to know their prefernces, wishes and needs.
‘No Decision About Me Without Me’ (Consultation + choice – of GP, Treatment, Consultant, Hospital, etc)
what does this include?
the choice is about given the person what they want and the consultation is about making sure that they are informed on the information before they make their decision.
what is the clinical commissioning group?
GP led bodies that purchase medical services from NHS trusts, independent providers or charities
what is the health and wellbeing boards do?
representatives from health and social care, children’s services, councillors, etc - ‘joint, working’ to tackle inequalities in local area

give an example of what the health and wellbeing boards do?
looking into the inequalities of different life expectancy’s depending on where you live like in a city to the country side.
what is the idea of Local councils taking over Public Health e.g. organisation of screening services?
to make sure that the public health can be easily monitored and to make sure that advertising is done so individuals get the help and support eg: screening.
why was the health watch created?
Independent committee which will represent
views of health and social care users (protect
our interests), pass feedback back to CCG’s
and regulators. this feedback can be positive or constructive.
what does CCG stand for?
clinical commission groups. which are GP led.
