Limitations Flashcards
The EMB145 is certified to operate on the transport category, under what flight conditions?
Under day and night; VFR, IFR, Icing conditions.
What is the minimum flight crew for the EMB145?
2 Pilots
What is the maximum temperature for aircraft operation?
ISA +35
What is the EMB145 maximum runway slope for takeoff and landing?
+/- 2% of the runway length.
What is the maximum tailwind component for takeoff and landing on the EMB145?
10 kts.
What is the minimum and maximum pressure altitude for takeoff and landing on the EMB 145LR/XR?
LR = (-1,000'/8,000') XR = (-1,000'/10,000')
What is the minimum and maximum SAT at FL370?
-65/-21.5*C.
What is the minimum and maximum SAT for takeoff and landing?
-40/52C. MX inspection is required when landing below -40C.
What is the minimum SAT bellow FL250?
-54*C
What is the minimum TAT above FL250?
-45C. Momentary deviation up to -50C is acceptable.
What is the max speed for flaps 22 on the EMB 145XR above 10,000’ with YD disengaged?
180 knots.
What is the max speed for flaps 45 on the EMB 145XR above 10,000’ with YD disengaged?
145 knots.
What is the max airspeed after takeoff without re-trimming?
160 knots.
What happen if the flaps 45 speed is momentarily exceeded on a none XR aircraft?
Nothing, the flaps 45 speed of 145 knots may be momentarily exceeded up-to 160 knots and no necessary MX action is required.
What is the maximum airspeed for turbulent air penetration? (Above and bellow 10,000’)
Below 10,000’: 200Knots
Above 10,000’: 250 knots or .63M, whichever is lower.
What is the maximum windshield wiper operating speed?
170 Knots.
What is the maximum fuel imbalance between tanks?
800 Lbs.
What are the minimum and maximum fuel tank temperatures for the EMB145?
-40/52*C
What is the maximum N1?
100% N1.
What is the min/max oil pressure >= 88% N2 for the EP/LR models?
The min/max oil pressure >= 88% N2 for the EP/LR models are 50/110 psi.
For all engine models; What is the minimum and maximum oil pressure
34/110 psi.
What is the min/max oil pressure >= 88% N2 for the XR model?
The min/max oil pressure >= 88% N2 for the XR model is 48/110 psi.
What happen if the oil pressure reads 38psi during takeoff?
Is this normal?
Although this isn’t a normal reading, it is permissible for EP/LR aircraft models to operate between 34 and 50psi during takeoff and go around phases of flight. XR aircraft permissible range is between 34 and 48psi.
Can engine oil pressure be exceed?
Yes; there are certain times and occasions that the engine oil pressure of 110psi maybe exceed.
Engine start with the oil temperature below 21*C or oil pressure exceedance during any phase of flight is time limited.
