Q

What would depressing the “Eng pump shutoff” button on the hydraulic panel will accomplish?

A

It will shutoff the fluid supply to the engine hydraulic pump. By doing so, it is very possible that the pump will over heat and possibly shear or seize since the pump won’t have any lubrication.

Q

What is the purpose of the hydraulic priority valve?

A

The valve gives hydraulic pressure priority to the flight controls over retracting landing gear on a dual hyd fluid pressure request scenario.

15
Q

How many accumulators each hydraulic system have?

A

One

16
Q

Where is the hydraulic system service panel?

A

Hydraulic nose compartment.

17
Q

What is the purpose of the accumulators?

A

The accumulators protect the system from surges, and help keep the system at 3,000 psi during LDG operation(system 1) or Emergency parking brake(system 2).

18
Q

What would the amber range represents on the hydraulic quantity scale?

A

The reservoir has reach a level of 1 liter or below.

19
Q

When would the electric hydraulic pump be activated assuming there respective engine was operating?

A

If the engine driven pump pressure drops below 1600 psi or the respective engine goes below 56.4% N2.

20
Q

Can the hydraulic system pressure be monitored on the EICAS or MFD’s?

A

No.

21
Q

When would the hydraulic fluid quantity indicator become amber?

A

When the quantity is equal to or less than 1 liter.
