What parameters are check with the takeoff configuration button?
Pitch trim between 4” and 8”, Flaps between 9* and 22*, Parking brake not set and Spoilers stowed.
During any windshear warning, should the aircraft be immediately re-configure to gear up and flaps 9*?
No; Disengage the autopilot and initiate a go-around by pressing the TOGA buttons on the TL and pitch to the FD while applying maximum thrust.
Is the ASEL function of the FD armed when the WSHR vertical mode is active?
No; The WSHR vertical mode activation will disarm the ASEL function of the FD.
What will be heard if the aural warning unit test is successful?
The “AURAL UNIT OK” voice message will be generated.
When would the EICAS message “AURAL WARN FAIL” be displayed?
When both channels A and B of the aural warning unit have failed simultaneously.
How many transponders are on the EMB145?
2 transponders.
How do the CRT’s would look like following the lost of DC Bus 2?
Red “X” on MFD 2, MFD 1 and PFD 2 are blank.
How can we ID an ADC failure?
The rolling digital displays and the scale markings of the airspeed and altitude indicators are removed and replaced with a red “X” through there scales. The VS pointer is removed and a boxed “VS” is displayed inside the scale.
How can an ADC failure be corrected?
Follow the QRH.
What does an amber HDG comparator flag on the PFD/MFD indicate?
A difference of 6 degrees between the heading information compared by the two symbol generators.
When would an amber IAS comparator flag be presented?
When calibrated data airspeed differs by 5 knots or more for longer than 2 seconds.
When would an ALT comparator flag be presented?
When altitude data differ for more than 200 feet.
What does the “CAS MSG” indicates?
Indicates that there is a discrepancy between the IC-600’s
When does the DFDR begin recording?
When the beacon is turned on or weight off wheels.
What indications would be displayed on the MFD and PFD immediately following an AHRS failure?
ATT FAIL, HDG FAIL and HDG FAIL on MFD if on map mode.
