Q

What is the function of the DUMP button on the automatic pressurization controller?

A

It will depressurize the cabin of the aircraft to an altitude of 14,500’ MSL or to the actual altitude of the aircraft, whichever is lower.

7
Q

What is the purpose of the pressurization static port located on the lower rear portion of the fuselage?

A

To provide over-pressure/under pressure relief should the cabin differential exceed 8.1 psi or -0.3 psi.

Q

What are the ram air doors and when would they open?

A

The Ram Air Doors are NACA vents on the underside of the fuselage. Ram air doors in the “emergency” position allow ambient air to flow into the cabin but will not pressurize the cabin. They go to emergency position (open) any time the aircraft is in flight with both PACKs off. This includes icing conditions takeoffs.
