Habitat
The area where an organism lives.
Population
The number of organisms of a species in an area.
Community
All the different species of organisms that live in a habitat.
Omnivore
Organism that consumes both plant and animal material.
Producer
Organisms that make their own food - for example plants that make their own food via photosynthesis.
Consumer
Organism that consume other organisms for food.
Prey
Organism that is hunted by other organisms.
Herbivore
Organisms that consume only plant material.
Ecosystem
Habitat + Community
Niche
The role an organism plays within an ecosystem.
Biodiversity
The variety of all life on life on Earth. As well as the communities they form and the habitats they live in.
Intraspecific competition
Competition for resources between the same species. More intense that interspecific as it is the same resources that are being competed f9r.
Interspecific competition
Competition for resources between different species. Less intense than intraspecific competition.
