What privileges can a Student ATCO exercise?
Holders of a student ATC licence shall be authorised to provide ATC services under the supervision of an on-the-job-training instructor (OJTI) in accordance with the rating(s) and rating endorsement(s) contained in their licence.
What personal characteristics should a person wishing to undertake ATCO training have?
Educationally, physically and mentally sufficiently mature.
What are the requirements for the issue of a student ATCO licence?
18 years old
Successful completion of initial training at an organisation that satisfies the requirements.
Valid Medical Certificate
ICAO Level 4+ Language Proficiency
What happens if the privileges of a student licence are not exercised?
If a student ATCO has not exercised the privileges of their student licence within 1 year, an APC and successful completion of any remedial training is required.
What are the holders of an ATCO licence authorised to do?
Provide air traffic control services in accordance with the ratings and rating endorsements of their licence, and to exercise the privileges of the endorsements contained therein.
What are the requirements for the issue of an ATCO licence?

What happens if the privileges of an ATCO licence are not exercised?
If an ATCO has not exercised the privileges of any rating within one year from the date of issue may only start unit training after an APC and successful completion of any remedial training.

Describe ADV Rating
ADV - Aerodrome Control Visual Rating
Indicating that the licence holder is competent to provide an air traffic control service to aerodrome traffic at an aerodrome that has no published instrument approach or departure procedures and shall be accompanied by at least one of the Aerodrome rating endorsements.

Indicating that the licence holder is competent to provide an air traffic control service to aerodrome traffic at an aerodrome that has published instrument approach or departure procedures.
