Lecture 7 muscles of the Thigh INSERTIONS Flashcards
What is the insertion of sartorius?
Proximal part of medial surface of shaft of tibia ( Pes Anserine)
what is the insertion of Rectus Femoris?
Quadriceps tendon into lateral patella, then via patellar ligament to the tibial tuberosity and some fibers blend with the joint capsule of the knee (retinacula)
What is the insertion for Vastus Lateralis?
Quad tendon into lateral patella, then via patellar ligament to the tibial tuberosity and some fibers blend with the joint capsule of the knee.
What is the insertion of Vastus Medialis?
Quad tendon into medial patella then via patellar lig. to the tibial tuberosity, some filters blend with the joint capsule of the knee.
What is the insertion for Vartus Intermedius?
Quad tendon into superior patella, then via patellar ligament to tibial tuberosity
What is the insertion of Articularis Genu?
superior part of the joint capsule of the knee
What is the insertion of Pectineus?
Pectineal line of the femur
What is the insertion of Biceps Femoris?
Two heads unite just above the knee and the common tendon inserts into the head of the fibula
What is the insertion of Semitendinosus?
Upper part of medial surface of shaft of tibia (pes anserine)
What is the insertion of Semimembranosus?
Groove for tendon of semimembranosus on the medial condyle of the tibia on the posterimedial surface
What is the insertion of Gracilis?
Medial surface of proximal part of shaft of tibia (pes anserine)
