Learning at the Sociological Level

Learning at the Sociological Level: Fijian Food Taboos
Women are discouraged from eating certain marine life during pregnancy because it affects their child. Because this idea survived it perpetuated and grew because it was successful.
Learning at the Psychological Level:
Eating some fish can make you sick, you would think it is the fish but you ignore other potential factors.
Learning at the Cognitive Level: Adjusting Parameters on Productions
Noticing a reaction to an action performed and learning from it, to either keep and / or improving to do the task or completely ignore it.
Synaptic changes
Dendrite sends messages to the axon, ( if two nearby neurons are close to each other, they might fire simultaneously, like mixing chocolate with peanut butter and realizing an association with the two.
The chemical Level
Adaptation in taste receptors learn to tolerate bitter foods. Chemical level explains experiences with drugs.
Physical level
What the brain is made up of
Ontology
a set of things said to exist (vocabulary used to describe things) Psychology deals with beliefs, memory etc. Neuroscience uses things at the biological level. With good ontology you can make theories that successfully make predictions.
reductionism
These scholars are often dismissive of things in the higher level , believing their specific field can explain everything.
Sociological Level

Psychological level
in addition to the sociological level we need a deeper level of understanding of human psychology. like trying to figure out why a baby looks at the face right after it is born. (something built in to the babies mind)
Cognitive level
understanding different learning styles affect the way people solve problems. The same learning styles make people make the same mistakes. In terms of the biological level we can differ in our neural setup and they way neurons work.
Biological Level
We need biology because the information level does not give us enough information. We can use our knowledge of the hippocampus to follow its function to find an answer.
Chemical Level
If you have a lot of dopamine through your system you see more patterns. With Parkinsons they give you dopamine and it levels you out. Dopamine changes significantly affect the individual.
