- Nociceptive- damage to body tissue
- Neuropathic- lesion or disease/damage of nervous system
- Central sensitization (CS)- presence of pain without anatomical reason

A
- unpleasent abnormal sensation
- can be evoked or spontaneous

What are the 2 types of dysethesia and their definitions?
A
- Allodynia- pain evokes by stimulus that is not usually noxious
- Hyperalgesia- excessive sensitivity to stimuli that are normally mildly painful
