what to do before getting them to sit up
get them to bring feet flat on the table, bending knees.
bring both feet to prime postition, asking to lift hips off ground. support their foot and leg.
if hip tilts, get them to go up again to shift closer to the end of the bed, support their hip on the affected side
how to do laying down to sitting transfer on affected side
knees up on bed.
reach up over your shoulder with unaffected arm to see how much they can flex trunk
keep affected arm tucked in, tuck your arm under that shoulder then get them to sit up swinging theier kegs
have hand inside affected leg to push down
how to do laying down to sitting transfer on affected side
get them t curl forward, warp arm around back so you support affected scapula
tell them to lean forward so their nose is over shoulder
grab outside of affected leg to pull
what to do before sit to stand transfers
scoot to front of chair
scoot feet under neath base of support
