Humanism
An outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely rational ways of solving human problems.
Conflicting uses of resources
Natural capital (e.g., air, water, land–biogeochemical)
Environmental mediation
An option which has been increasingly utilized to settle environmental disputes.
Open vs. closed humanism
The pursuit of human values vs. anthropocentrism.
Anthropomorphism
The attribution of human characteristics or behaviour to a god, animal, or object.
Geological Timescale
When we know more about or past, we can better understand out future trajectory.
