Insight learning (Definition:)
Using experience and understanding to solve problems relating to the whole skill.
Who created the insight learning theory?
A group of German psychologists called the ‘Gestalts’, a term that meant concentrating on the whole rather than parts.
What does the insight theory suggest?
That the performer uses existing knowledge to form an idea of to deal with problematic sporting situations.
What are the features of insight learning?
It focuses on the whole task rather than specific elements of performance.

Because it focuses on the whole of performance meaning it accounts for all factors that are present during the game.
