Steps in creating a law
-a bill is drafted and sent to both the House and the Senate
-bill must pass both the house and the Senate and a conference committee is created to resolve any differences, if needed
-bill is sent to president, and if not approved, then it is sent back to the house
-after reconsideration, it may be voted upon by congress
-a 2/3 majority vote will make the bill into a law
