List the steps of the Lateral Position procedure

A
  1. Do the initial steps procedure.
  2. Place the resident in the supine position.
  3. Move the resident to the side of the bed closest to you.
  4. Cross the resident’s arms over their chest.
  5. Slightly bend the knee of the nearest leg to you, or cross the nearest leg over the farthest leg at the ankle.
  6. Place your hands under the resident’s shoulder blade and buttock. Turn the resident away from you onto their side.
  7. Place supportive padding behind back, between knees and ankles, and under top arm.
  8. Do the final steps procedure.
