• The man representing the idea of an angel is guiding the people in the building. The man walks from behind the female dancer and tenderly touches her shoulder before circling round her and touches her shoulder again. This could represent the cyclic nature of the disasters and the mourning people go through

• Larbi places the open book over his faceand spins very quickly as if completely out of control. The power of wwriting is taking over and shows frustration with the disorganisation.

Sutra

A common journey of cultural and social exchange. Creates an artistic universe that found its way to the hearts of the audience. A reflection of the meeting between Cherkaoui and the monks.

• They use all of the parts of the box designed by Gormly. Climb inside it, stand on top of it, make formations with them. It reflects the way that society puts people in a box based on their cultures. It can also be seen to represent the innocent nature of a childhood boardgame.

Babel

Inspired by the ‘Tower of Babel’ (the tower on Earth where everyone spoke the same languge) and the relationship between nationhood and identity.
