How are the Landing gear operated?
- Electrically Commanded
- Hydraulically Actuated
When will the aural warnign for the landing gear sound?
- Gear not down and locked AND
- < 700ft RA and low TLA
OR
- Any alttitude with flaps set > 5
Can the aural warning be silenced by pushing the
“LG WRN INHIB” button?
Only if both Radio Altimeters have failed
What are the three landing gear extension modes?
- Normal:………………….LG lever Down
- Electric override:…..Bypasses PSEM to directly command selector valve
- Alt gear Ext:……………Manually release uplock for freefall extension sequence
What is the purpose of the “DN LOCK RLS”
button on the landing gear lever?
What keeps the gear locked into position?
Describe the landing gear indications:
Green:
- Down and Locked
White:
- Up and Locked
Amber:
- In transit
Red:
- Gear position and Lever Disagree (20sec grace period)
How do the landing gear doors actuate?
Mechanically
How are the brakes commanded?
What hydraulic systems provide braking pressure?
- HYD 1 - Outboard Brakes
- HYD 2 - Inboard Brakes
- HYD 1 and 2 - Parking/Emergency Brake
What protections are provided for braking?

will the accumulators provide?
Approximately 6
What stops wheel rotation after retraction?
Main Gear:
- BCN applies brakes after weight off wheels
Nose Gear:
- Snubbers in nose bay
What hydraulic system controls nosewheel steering?
HYD 2
What are the nosewheel steering limits?
Up to 40kts : 76 degrees
41 to 100 kts : Linear decrease from 76 to 7 degrees
