What is the intended purpose by understanding khabr wahids which are surrounded by indications?
They have some extra matters/conditions added that are needed for a maqbool hadith.
And these extra matters increases it in strength and gives it an advantage upon other khabr wahids from amongst the maqbool ahadith which are free from those extra matters.
And it will be given preference over the other khabr wahids which are free from those extra matters.
What are the 3 most famous types/divisions of a khabr wahid which are surrounded by indications?
1: That khabr maqbool which B/M have derived in within their sahih which have not reached the levels of tawatur so they have a bit more strength:
-Both B/M of them two having a great honour.
-Both of them having doing initial work in distinguishing sahih ahadith upon the others (apart from B/M).
-Ulammah embracing both of their books with acceptance. And this embracing alone is a strong point in benefitting knowledge. Just by those extra chains which are evidenced which has a slightly less rank than a tawatur. They already have extra chains backing up and also extra indications so will be a bit less than tawatur but higher rank than sahih lithatithi.
2: When this mashoor hadith, many various chains surrounding it all of them are sound from weak narrators and hidden defects.
3: That hadith which is continuously narrated by Imams who are hafiz of hadith and pious in the sense it is not a ghareeb.
What is the ruling regarding khabr wahids with extra indications?
This hadith is given more preference from amongst all the other khabr wahids which are maqbool.
Therefore if a hadith which is surrounded by indications contradicts others from amongst the khabr maqbool ahadith, then the khabr maqbool surrounded by indications will be given preference over other khabr maqbool ahadith.
