What was the Albany Campaign?

A

1961 - went to Albany to challenge segregation but lacked the focus of the sit-ins because they did libraries, parks and buses as well. It also failed because the police chief, Laurie Pritchett, saw that provoking violence encouraged media interaction and so gave instructions to not.
