Name the 7 core structures that make up the brigades SRA
Commissioners group (CG) Duty assistant commissioner AC1 Gold commander fire GC Brigade coordination centre BCC Brigade coordinating manager BCM Gold support team GST Continuity management team CMT
The SRA is managed according to the brigades gold command structure, which sets out three distinct response levels, name them.
Strategic -gold
Tactical - silver
Operational - bronze
Who ideally would take the decision to activate the brigades SRA?
And what may coincide with it..?
Collectively by the CG
A major incident
If it’s an MTA then other senior officers could do it, ie DAC or above
What meeting would take place when the brigade has been alerted of significant event or potential major incident?
For the majority of significant events or major incidents what else would be set up?
CCG meeting asap
The BCC
For any event that could disrupt one or more of the brigades critical activities, what should be activated?
Corporate business continuity plan
Who would determine when and how to stand down the SRA?
Who would take on the role of brigade coordinating manager?
CCG would do this based on incident information, impact assessments of brigade critical activities and key services
The duty DAC
What is the role of the golf commander and who is this?
(Fire) - act as the commissioner’s representative at multi agency meetings (eg strategic coordinating group meetings) as fire gold and liaise closely with the CCG, duty AC1, the brigade coordinating manager, TCG and the CMT to ensure organisational priorities and needs are understood, resources and met.
