What is a structured interview?
-Every participants are asked the same questions.
What is a semi-structured interview?
-Questions can be changed to follow up on something interesting the participant tells you.
What is an unstructured interview?
-No set questions, just given a set topic you re are researching.

What is a strength of structured interviews?
-Collects quantitative data so results are objective and easier to analyse.
-Easy to see patterns and trends so highly valid.
What is a weakness of structured interviews?
-Collects quantitative data which is not very in-depth as the participant cannot explain their answers.
What is a strength of unstructured interviews?
-Collect qualitative data so can collect a lot of in-depth info so more valid.
What is a weakness of an unstructured interview?
-Different questions each time so you cannot compare data- less relaible.
What is a strength of a semi-structured interview?
-Can follow up on points so can gather a lot of information- very valid.
What is a weakness of semi-structured interviews?
-Not consistent (different follow up questions) so less relaible.
