What are some strengths of content analysis?
-can be easily repeated.
-no consent needed so more ethical.
-Standardised coding scheme.
-Produces quant and qual data.
What are some weaknesses of content analysis?
-Time consuming
-Using secondary data so less valid.
-Indirect analysis so lowers validty.
What are the steps to content analysis?
-Read/watch data.
-Identify initial codes.
-Group codes into themes.
-Review themes-check have enough data to support.
-Name and define themes.
-Count number of times themes appear.
-Write a report.
