What happens in an attempted hijack?

A
  1. FC ensure lockdown procedure in place
  2. FD door remains locked
  3. No one to enter FD until aircraft is on the ground
  4. Report emergency to ATC (airport traffic control), say appropriate code (do covertly in a sentence)
  5. If aircraft has datalink - emergency report: PAN, if armed intervention is required, emergency: MAYDAY
  6. If bomb suspected, follow non normal checklist: BOMB ON BOARD and activate SAAP
  7. Communicate with CC
  8. Land asap in nearest airport

  1. Maintain contact with ATC/authorities
  2. Give details of hijacker
  3. Disable aircraft so it cannot be started or moved (ie. pull circuit breakers)
  4. Consider evacuating FD via non-normal means (ie. escape hatch or windows)
